According to the president of Medeama, Mr Moses Armah, a 33-man contingent, comprising 18 players, officials and journalists will be making the trip.

He was hopeful of a good result from his players following the level of preparation by the team under new caoch Carlos Roberto Paulette.

He described Paulette as a good coach based on his knowledge in the game and work rate since joining the MTN FA Cup champions last month.

The Peruvian trainer, who had had stints with RTU and King Faisal in the past two seasons, signed a one-year renewable contract with Medeama early last month following the exit of Dutch coach Hans van der Pluijm.

Tarkwa-based Medeama, sponsored by Gold Fields Ghana Limited and Ghana Manganese Company (GMC), earned the right to represent the nation in the CAF Confederation after beating Kotoko 1-0 in the MTN FA Cup final last season.

For that feat, MTN gave them GH¢50,000 as seed money to support their maiden African campaign.
