After weeks of working on the physical condition of the players, Coach Yussif Basigi has this week began technical training and will put his team to the test when they play two friendly matches tomorrow and Saturday, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Queens will play two National Women's League (NWL) teams Immigration Ladies and Police Ladies tomorrow and Saturday respectively, to test his team's response to the training they have undergone so far.

Coach Basigi, told the Graphic Sports that they were not fully there yet and the two trial matches will help him identity the rough edges that need immediate attention for the March 21 qualifier against Zimbabwe in Accra.

"Our preparation is work in progress. After being of action for a while, most of the players were match rusty when they reported to camp, but gradually, they are picking up and we hope they will be in good shape for the Zimbabwe game.

"The matches against two of the top teams in the NWL, Immigration and Police will help us identify the problems that need immediate attention so we can work on it immediately," he said.

Meanwhile, the NWL which was to start this weekend, has been rescheduled to kick off on March 28, to enable the Queens play the qualifier without any interruption.

Officials of the Women's League Board (WLB) said the postponement was at the request of the Queens technical team who did not want any of the players, who also play in the league, to risk any injury before the first qualifier.
