The Black Satellites, who won silver at the previous competition, would join the continental qualifiers in the second round with the two-leg fixtures fixed for May.

The Satellites would face either Sierra Leone or Guinea after the first round stage.

Ghana are three-time winners of the African Youth Championship.

Meanwhile, the national U-17 side, Black Starlets, will play either Kenya or South Sudan in the African U-17 Championship qualifiers. The Starlets also drew a bye in the first round.

The Starlets will await the winner of the Kenya versus South Sudan match in the second round in July.

And if Paa Kwesi Fabin's side progresses from the second round, they will play Burkina Faso, Cameroun or the Central African Republic for a place at the finals of the 2015 edition of the Africa U-17 championship to be staged in Niger.

According to CAF, mandatory MRI tests would now be used during the qualifying stages of the African U-17 Championship to ensure the accuracy of the ages of players.
