Victory over Hearts was no fluke — Coach Cobblah

Newly appointed Wa All Stars coach, James Cobblah, said the club’s back-to-back league victory over Accra Hearts of Oak this season was not a fluke but God’s reward for their hard work.

“It is a mindset we have adopted as a team and it is the same mindset backed with hard work we are using to approach our matches,” Coach Cobblah revealed.

Coach Cobblah, who spoke with the Daily Graphic yesterday, anticipated a tough task ahead for his team as they travelled to Kpando to play Heart of Lions in their next First Capital Plus Premier League assignment tomorrow.

“We are not afraid of them, we only respect them,” he remarked, noting that unlike other clubs fighting against relegation, All Stars are working very hard to get to a good position on the league log by the close of the season, considering his track record as the coach who has been around for sometime.

“Every club I go to I achieve something good with them; during my stint with Heart of Lions, for instance, I brought them to the top four, I also brought Sporting Mirren to the Premier League and brought Danbort from Division two to Division One after which I took them to the middle league on two occasions.

“All these attest to what I can do, and it is the same thing I have begun with All Stars.”

“With prayer and hard work, we will achieve our main objective of finishing in a very good position by the close of the season,” he assured.
Coach Cobblah, therefore, appealed to supporters of the Wa-based club to continue to rally behind the club while the team reciprocated by making them happy.
