Normalisation Committee cancels special competition

The GFA Normalisation Committee (NC) has cancelled the proposed Special Competition aimed at getting the Ghana Premier League clubs and Division One League sides busy while the Dr Kofi Amoah-led group continues with its core mandate of reforming the FA’s statutes and regulations, as well as organising elections for new members of the FA’s executive committee and its president.

'Never give up' - Latif Blessing ecstatic after meeting idol Iniesta

Ghana forward Latif Blessing appears to be over the moon after sharing a pitch with Spanish football icon Andres Iniesta.


Blessing and Iniesta were on opposite sides when his Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) thrashed Iniesta's Vissel Kobe 4-1 on February 1.

A crowd of 18,100 was treated to a show by LAFC captain Carlos Vela, who scored two top-notch first-half goals in a 4-1 win over J.League side Vissel Kobe which also featured Lukas Podolski and former MLS star David Villa.

Blessing, 22, who came on as a substitute during the tie took to social media pages a week later to recall his humble beginnings in Ghana.
