Godwin Ablordey

Kotoko look to Godwin Ablordey for a lift

Troubled Kumasi Asante Kotoko, after parting ways with their Croatian coach Zdravko Logarusic last Sunday, hope to break away from their recent poor form and go for the kill against Wa All Stars in what promises to be an uncompromising Easter Sunday fixture at their dreaded Wa Stadium.

Kotoko, who are presently lying third on the league log and four points adrift of leaders WAFA, have experienced dwindling fortunes after their 0-1 loss to bitter rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Stadium and have since been held to barren draws against Inter Allies and Ebusua Dwarfs in Kumasi, and a 1-2 loss to Medeama SC at Tarkwa.

Aduana overcome Olympics

Visiting Aduana Stars survived a late onslaught from Great Olympics to win 2-1 in their rescheduled Match day 11 Ghana Premier League (GPL) fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The match was rained off last Sunday. When it was replayed yesterday, a ninth-minute own goal by Olympics captain Dan Quaye and Bright Adjei’s 38th-minute drive secured the win for the visitors, as Abel Manomey’s goal from a powerful shot in the second half only gave Olympics a false sense of hope but could not save them from defeat.
