I have faced some of the toughest challenges running football in Ghana for about 12 years yet writing a tribute for someone who is a father figure to me, a mentor and a teacher proved to be one of the most difficult tests I have encountered in life.

Words, even the very best of words, cannot pay tribute or truly capture the sense of loss that we in the football fraternity in Ghana are all feeling today.

WAFA to worry Bechem at home?

The tempo for this season’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) is steadily rising each passing week and this weekend, the action will be at the Fosu Gyeabour Park where Bechem United host WAFA in what promises to be a keenly contested tie.

Golf: MOBA trounce AKORA

Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) trounced their Achimota counterparts (AKORA), 10-8 in a special golf competition  at the Tema Country Golf Club last Saturday.

Kenyan footballer forced to terminate contract at gunpoint

An international footballer from Kenya has filed a complaint to Fifa after he was allegedly forced to terminate his contract with South African club Golden Arrows at gunpoint.

The World Players’ Union FIFPro have confirmed that Clifton Miheso had brought his case to the attention of Fifa, claiming that the incident took place on January 14 at the club’s offices at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, in Durban.

Kempinski Hotel, Cowbell supports Ghana Triathlon Federation

The Ghana Triathlon Federation (GTF), has secured a four year sponsorship deal worth $200,000 from Kempinski Hotel and Promasidor Ghana Limited, to support their activities and the administration of the Federation.

The deal, which commences in 2017 and ends in 2020, will see the management of the plush hotel offering $25,000 each year to the Federation, whilst Promasidor will also offer cash and Cowbell products worth $25,000 each year.

Detroit Lions planning contract extension for Ziggy Ansah
