The game was the second clash held last Friday at the Accra Polytechnic basketball court as part of preparations for the UPAC Championship which begins on March 5.

The defending champions, who were without influential power forward and reigning Tertiary Player of the Year, Romeo Wilfried Enan who graduated the institution last year relied on duo Abdul Mutaleb Alhassan and Aliu Farahat Tamimu who posted a combined 29 points.

In the other game, the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) beat their opponents from the Valley View University Collage (VVU) 27-21.

Preparations for the competition continued on last Saturday at the University of Ghana with Marshalls University College recording the standout result with a 25-20 comeback win over Zenith University College.

Zenith College begun the game on a blistering note, taking a 6-0 lead on the back of excellent shooting from deep.

They built up a seven-point lead as the game moved into the second half but Marshalls coach, James Okine halted his teams slide by unleashing his offensive weapon, Daniel Laryea.

Laryea quickly made his presence felt by scoring eight points to hand Marshalls its first lead of the game and send Zenith University into a free fall wilting under scorching shots from Okine’s men.

In other results, Wisconsin University beat Pentecost University 35-27, while Central University College saw off the challenge of debutants Blue Crest College by thrashing them 26-13.
