In Kumasi, Kwadwo Baffoe Donkor reports that a 62nd minute strike by substitute Dauda Mohammed was all Kumasi Asante Kotoko needed to carry the day at the Baba Yara Stadium as they beat Inter-Allies 1-0 in their First Capital Plus Premier League game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A defensive mishap by the Inter-Allies lads allowed the lurking Mohammed to pounce a loose ball and put it beyond the reach of Osei Kwame, who was in the post for the visitors.

Though Kotoko had the lion’s share of possession, it was Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin’s lads who looked more purposeful upfront but they lacked the needed experience to find the target.

At Bechem, Bechem United last Saturday handed Accra Hearts of Oak a 1-0 defeat, the Phobians’ second in the 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Premier League season.

Hamza Mohammed's first- half goal was all the homesters needed to grab the points at stake.

Despite attempts by Coach Herbert Addo's side to get the equaliser, the home side remained resolute in defence till the final whistle.

Hasaacas' impressive run in the 2014/2015 League season was brought to a halt by Heart of Lions at the Kpando Stadium last Saturday.

Mohammed Razir and Abdulai Abdul Karim scored to give Yusif Abubakar's side their second win of the season.

Razir scored the opener in the 17th minute before substitute Abdul Karim added his side's second.

Hasaacas, who began the season strongly, slipped to fifth on the League log with Lions moving up to eighth.

At Tarkwa, Nathaniel Asamoah hit a brace to give Coach Tom Strand a winning start as Medeama halted Ashantigold’s unbeaten run with a 2-0 win.
