The 26-year-old forward limped off the Stamford Bridge field after over stretching in an attempt to catch up with Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

The former Swansea talisman looked unhappy as he was substituted by Gokhan Tore in the 35th minute.

The full extent of the injury will be determined today after scans but the player is set to miss Thursday’s Europa league tie with Astra Giurgiu at the London Stadium.

The club record 20.5million signing is expected to be out for a maximum of two weeks.
