Asante Kotoko reappoint coach Narteh Ogum

Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko has reappointed Prosper Narteh Ogum as head coach.

Dr. Ogum was a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) named by the life patron of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Friday, July 20.

He joined Asante Kotoko in September 2021 and guided the team to win the 2021/2022 league title for the first time in eight years.

Dr. Ogum, 45, is expected to lead the club's recruitment and pre-season training towards the 2023/2024 league season as they aim to reclaim the premiership title.

Other members appointed by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to oversee the affairs of the club are Nana Apinkra Awua, Kontomponiaferehene and a Chartered Accountant, James Kwesi Appiah, former Black Stars coach and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, Administrative Manager.

Meanwhile, a new Board Chairman is expected to be announced by the Manhyia Palace later following the dissolution of the 12-member Board of Directors led by Dr. Kwame Kyei.
