At the 2016 PLB Awards
The 2016 Premier League Board’s (PLB) awards ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra last Friday.
The event was graced by Supreme Court Judge, Justice Anin Yeboah, as the Special Guest of Honour, while Mr Amarkai Amarteifio, Board Chairman of Accra Great Olympics, chaired the function.
Also present at the ceremony were GFA president, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, Mr Saka Aquaye, a director at the National Sports Authority, boxing legend, Azumah Nelson, representatives from Star Times and other sponsors.

Liberty Professionals’ Latif Blessing took home two awards, namely the topmost Footballer of the Season and the Top Scorer of the Season prizes.

Some other award winners were Awal Mohammed,(Referee of the year), Hearts Of Oak’s Inusah Musah (Defender of the Season), Abdul Alidu Hudu of Inter Allies (Most Promising Player of the Season), Haruna Bawa (Assistant Referee), Augustine Asante (Match Commissioner Category), and Berekum Chelsea (Fair Play Club of the Year).
