Bechem United head coach, Kobina Amissah, says he is taking his players through intensive goal-scoring and chance-creation drills to make the team more clinical in front of goal.
According to him, the Hunters are gradually regaining their rhythm and, with sustained momentum, are capable of returning to their former glory in the Premier League.
Speaking to the club’s website, Coach Amissah revealed that his technical team had identified weaknesses across all departments—not only in attack but also in defence and goalkeeping.
“We are preparing on how to score goals, how to create chances, how to put pieces together in terms of possession. We are also working on our defensive abilities and in the area of goalkeeping, too; the goalkeepers’ trainer is doing his best to put them in shape,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the extra defensive work would help reduce the soft goals they have conceded in recent matches.
Coach Amissah also disclosed that the team had been hit by an injury to one of its key midfielders. The former Berekum Chelsea gaffer assured fans that efforts were underway to find a suitable replacement while the player recovers.
While he expressed gratitude to supporters for their continuous backing, he admitted disappointment over the reduced turnout in recent matches following the team’s poor run of results.
He appealed to fans to return to the stadium and support the team as they aim to bounce back.
