Boateng, Paulina win TMS golf

Fred Boateng of Nsuta Golf Club emerged winner of the first Technical Mechanical Services (TMS) sponsored golf tournament at the Damang Golf Club.

Boateng, with a handicap 2, returned with 79 strokes to win the competition, while Daniel Odoom from Damang Golf Club came second with 81 strokes on count back, with Yaw Anarf from Tarkwa Golf Club returning with 81 strokes to take the third position.

 

In the men’s group B category, David Brown of Damang came first with 34 points, followed by Elijah Dennis from Ankobra Country Golf Club of Bogoso came second with 31 points on count back, while Enoch Nii Adjei from Damang came third with 31points.

In the men group C category, Francis Nyarkoh had 27 points to win, Peter Damuah came second and Kwadwo Wiafe came third with 22 points.

Paulina Acheampong from Damang, with handicap 30, won the ladies event with 38 points, while Agnes Adams came second with 37 points and Edith Yeboah finished third with 33 points.

The longest drive award in the ladies event went to Edith Yeboah, while the men’s version went to Yaw Anarf. The closest to the pin award went to Thomas Seidu.

Mr Charles Martey, the Regional Sales Manager (West Africa) of TMS, said although he did not join the team to play, following them alone made him happy as he promised to join them play in the next competition.
