Bukom Banku on bail

The Accra Central Police have granted bail to controversial boxer Braimah Kamoko (Bukom Banku) after he allegedly assaulted four of his cousins in a brawl a fortnight ago.

Banku, 38, who spent a night behind bars, was arrested four days ago and granted a police enquiry bail last Wednesday after satisfying bail conditions.

The Greater Accra Police PRO, Efia Tenge, confirmed the release of the crusierweight boxer and told the Graphic Sports that investigations were still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the alleged victims told the Graphic Sports that although some family members wanted the matter settled out of court, Bukom Banku was still proving intransigent and refusing to meet them for the settlement.

According to the alleged victims, if the boxer continued with that recalcitrant attitude they would have no other choice than to proceed with the case to court.
