Over the course of three days, from Friday to Sunday, 120 talented female golfers from all corners of Africa will converge to showcase their skills and compete for the coveted title.

The tournament boasts multiple categories designed to accommodate players of varying handicaps and age groups.

The main event is the 54-hole scratch tournament, where participants with a playing handicap of up to 15 will battle it out for glory. Additionally, this main tournament serves as a World Amateur Golf Ranking Qualifier, providing an opportunity for players to enhance their global standing in the sport.

For golfers with a playing handicap of 16 and above, the Handicap category offers a 36-hole stroke play event, enabling them to demonstrate their skills and compete among peers of similar abilities.

Not leaving the men out of the excitement, the tournament includes an 18-hole Stableford event called Support (Men), which welcomes male participants of all backgrounds to join the golfing extravaganza and experience the thrill of competition.

Recognizing the skills and experience of senior female golfers, the Seniors (Ladies) category has been designed specifically for players aged 60 years and above. In this 18-hole Stableford event, the seasoned golfers will showcase their mastery of the game and inspire others with their passion for golf.

To ensure fairness and adherence to the rules, the tournament will be conducted under the regulations of the R&A, USGA, and the local rules of the Celebrity Golf Club as specified on the scorecard. Competitors will tee off from the Red tees, adding an extra layer of challenge to the already formidable course.

To participate in the main tournament, players must be lady amateurs with a maximum playing handicap of 15. It is mandatory for all participants to possess an official handicap issued by a recognized Federation or Association. Proof of handicap will be required during the registration process to maintain the integrity of the tournament.

As the tournament progresses, the draw for each round will be determined based on the players' scores. For the second round, the draw will be organized according to the gross score order from the previous round. Similarly, for the third and final round, the draw will be based on the players' total scores from the first two rounds. The committee reserves the right to make adjustments to the draw if necessary, ensuring fairness and competitiveness throughout the tournament.

Aside from the glory and recognition that comes with winning the Ghana Ladies Amateur Open, participants will have their eyes set on the prestigious prizes awarded to the top performers. The tournament will crown a Champion, Runner Up, and Third Place finisher, adding an extra layer of motivation and anticipation to the competition.

The success of the Ghana Ladies Amateur Open would not have been possible without the generous support of its sponsors. Companies such as Goil, Millennium Insurance, Bank of Africa Ghana, Pamicor Ltd, Tacos Group, Ecoband Ltd, Royal Senchi Hotel, Legend Sports Management, Exp Ghana, Tema Craft Beer, and Friends of Ladies Golf have joined hands to ensure the smooth running of the tournament and contribute to the growth of women's golf in Ghana.
