Ghana's home-based national team have begun preparations in Windhoek, Namibia, for next month's African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Twenty-seven players embarked on the pre-tournament tour which will be pruned to 23 before the team flies out to South Africa for the tournament reserved for only home-based players of member nations.
Maxwell Konadu last Saturday held his first training session with all the players taking part in the Namibian capital.
Ghana are chasing their first title in Group C with Libya, Ethiopia and Congo.
The 16-nation tournament is scheduled for January 11 to February 1, 2014. — ghanafa.org
