Coach Sarpong rejects Grant's offer
Head coach of Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs, JEA Sarpong, says he won’t attend the proposed coaching courses to be organised by newly Ghana coach ,Avram Grant, for local managers.
The Israeli boss has lined up courses and seminars to upgrade the knowledge of local coaches in the modern trends of the game, which is an additional responsibility to his coaching job in his two-year contract.

This is a departure from the past when expatriate coaches appointed to handle the Stars focused mainly on the senior national team job.
However, Sarpong says he won’t attend those courses, insisting there is nothing to be learnt from the former Chelsea manager.
“I won’t attend courses by Avram Grant. I am my own man and I have decided not to attend such courses by Avram Grant,” Sarpong told the media in Accra.
Mr. Fred Crentsil, vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in unveiling Grant last Thursday, explained that the move was part of measures by the FA to begin a new direction for Ghana Football.
According to Mr Crentsil, Grant, a FIFA Instructor and former coach of English Premiership sides Chelsea, West Ham and Portsmouth, and also Partizan Belgrade, would also assist in the technical direction of all the national teams.
He has also been charged to go round and scout players for the Stars locally and internationally during his 27-month term which ends on February 28, 2017.
