Grant to run refresher courses for coaches
New Black Stars coach, Avram Grant has been given an additional responsibility to organise refresher courses for local coaches to upgrade their knowledge in the modern trends of the game.
This is a departure from the past where expatriate Stars coaches focused mainly on the senior national team job.

The vice-president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr Fred Crentsil, who disclosed this at Coach Grant’s unveling last Thursday, explained that the move was part of measures by the FA to toe a new direction for Ghana Football.
According to Mr Crentsil, Grant, a FIFA Instructor and former coach of English Premiership sides Chelsea, West Ham, Portsmouth and Partizan Belgrade, is also to assist in the technical direction of all the national teams.
He has also been charged to go round and scout players for the Stars locally and internationally during his 27-month term which ends on February 28, 2017.
The jovial Grant promised to stay in the country and host his wife and children from time to time.
Minutes after his lively encounter with the local media, the 59-year- old trainer held a closed- door meeting with the Black Stars Management Committee and the Stars technical team.
