Didi Dramani replaces Annor Walker at Black Galaxies
Assistant Black Stars coach, Mus Ud Didi Dramani, has been appointed as the coach of the Black Galaxies.
Dramani takes over from Annor Walker who took the team to an unsuccessful Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN) tournament in Algeria this year where they were eliminated in the quarter final stage by Niger after losing 0-2 at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium
Even though the Ghana Football Association (GFA) did not assign reasons for the replacement of Coach Walker, it is believed that the team’s poor performance at the tournament could have occasioned his dismissal.
One of his major tasks would be to guide the team to qualify for the next edition of the Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN) competition.
The coach who currently works with Right To Dream Academy will also continue to work as the assistant coach of the Black Stars. He will be taking over the job with some experience having previously won Bronze with the national women under-17 side at the 2012 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan.
He has also guided Asante Kotoko to win the Premier League and the FA Cup in 2014.
Beside his achievements, he has also played for Bolgatanga Soccer Masters, Real Tamale United and Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs before hanging his boots in 2000.
The GFA/CAF Instructor is expected to be supported by Baba Nuhu and Samuel Boadu.
