
Excited to keep contributing to the game’s growth – Samira Suleman after securing UEFA License A certificate
Former Black Queens forward Samira Suleman has expressed pride and excitement after reaching a significant milestone in her coaching journey, officially acquiring her UEFA License A Diploma.
The prestigious certification is one of the highest coaching qualifications in European football, placing Suleman among a select group of Ghanaian women to attain this elite level.
Taking to her X account on Monday, September 15, Samira Suleman wrote: “Pleased to have successftopully completed the UEFA A Diploma. Grateful to my instructors, mentors, and colleagues for their guidance. Excited to keep contributing to the game’s growth.”
Suleman described the achievement as a proud moment, both personally and professionally.
“This is a proud moment for me, not just personally but professionally. I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from mentors, fellow coaches, and the football community."
"This is just the beginning. I’m committed to using this knowledge to give back and help shape the future of football in Ghana,” she added.
A new chapter in football leadership
With this latest accomplishment, Suleman continues her transition from player to coach, demonstrating her commitment to football development at both grassroots and elite levels.
Her football journey began with Hasaacas Ladies on the local scene, before earning her place on the national team, where she proudly represented Ghana’s Black Queens in several international tournaments.
Now stepping confidently into the coaching and management sphere, Suleman is poised to inspire the next generation of football talent, especially young girls in Ghana and across Africa.
International Career
Suleman joined Víkingur Ólafsvík in 2015 and made 10 appearances during the 2015 season.
She scored in a 2–0 win against Ethiopia in a 2014 African Women's Championship qualification match. She was on the Ghana squad for the 2014 African Women's Championship.
She scored in Ghana's 1–0 win over Ivory Coast in the semifinals of the 2015 African Games.
In April 2016 she scored Brace against Tunisia which helped the Black Queens qualify for the 2016 African Women Championship in Cameroon.
