It was aimed at introducing licensing system to Ghanaian clubs to ensure good governance, financial stability and transparency in football management in the country.

Premier League Board(PLB) officials who earlier this year attended a CAF Licensing seminar in South Africa, took turns to lecture club administrators on the five thematic areas of club licensing.

Among them were Welbeck Abra Appiah, PLB chairman, Ashford Tettey-Oku, vice chairman of the PLB and Kwaku Manu, a member of the PLB.

The seminar forms part of the  desire of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to steadily introduce the Club Licensing Regulations in its operations during competitions.

Opening the seminar, Mr. Fred Crentsil, vice president of the GFA, stated “We were initially unsure of meeting the requirements of CAF, but from what we’ve seen , I can say we are all ready to embrace it”
