In a statement yesterday, the FA said it had held discussions with lawyers of the plaintiff and reached an agreement for the event to come off at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

Relegated King Faisal yesterday obtained an interlocutory injunction at the Human Rights Unit of the Accra High Fast Track Court restraining the GFA from holding its congress which ushers in the new football season, until a case involving the club and Aduana Stars has been conclusively dealt with.

Sources say at the time the injunction was served on the FA secretariat its Executive Committee was in a meeting discussing the Congress. Faisal have been embroiled in a legal tussle with Aduana Stars over the latter’s legibility to play in the 2014/15 season for months.
