In the early hours of yesterday, four unmasked robbers wielding machetes and kitchen knives attacked Tadoma Hotel at Tantra Hill in Accra, where the defending league champions had lodged ahead of yesterday’s top fixture against Accra Hearts of Oak.

According to Kotoko’s Communications Manager, Kweku Ahenkorah, the robbers mugged the team’s General Manager, Opoku Nti, and Operations Manager, George Kennedy. They also raided the rooms of striker Dauda Mohammed, assistant coach Michael Osei and head coach David Duncan.

The robbers allegedly tied their hands and legs with their bedsheets before throwing them out of the rooms.

A total of GH¢25,000 was detected missing after the attack, which lasted almost two hours, according to Kotoko sources.
The incident was later reported to the Mile 7 Police Station who are still investigating it.
