Ghana books AFCON 2015 ticket
Ghana booked a place at the 2015 AFCON tournament in Equitorial Guinea after trashing The Hawks of Togo 3-1 at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Thanks to a sloppy defence by the Togolese side who ended their last two games conceding seven goals, plus splendid strikes by the Black Stars, the game in Tamale at least brought back the smiles on the faces of the Ghanaian fans who were livid when the team lost to Uganda last Saturday.

Petit Abdul Majeed headed in powerfully from a Mubarak Wakaso measured cross in the 23rd minute to set the Black Stars on the way to a sweet victory, and Mubarak Wakaso thundered in the second goal on the 26th minute mark on his favourite left foot.
All along, the Togo defence played casually, and it was only after conceding the second goal that they started sitting up.
Two minutes into the second half, the Togolese pulled a goal back through Jonathan Ayittey who headed in cooly from a coner kick.
The goal somehow gingered the Hawks who probed for more, except sometimes for their selfish play that robbed them of some begging chances.
Ghana was not done yet though, and Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, himself guilty of the selfish search for fame early on in the first half, banged in the final goal in the 69th minute to nail a sweet victory over Togo.
Ghana thus tops Group E with 11 points, followed by Guinea with 10 points after defeating Uganda.
