Wahid Omar’s opportunity came on the backdrop of his finishing as the fourth best in his category at the Yaounde event.

The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GABF) received a confirmation to that effect during the week from the International Boxing Association (AIBA).

Mr Gideon Quartey, in an interview with the Graphic Sports was optimistic that Azumah Mohammed, a welterweight and a member of the Black Bombers, would also be given such opportunity to compete at the Olympics..
