Both sides exchanged goals within two minutes during a pulsating second half after a barren first 45 minutes.

Ali Mohammed opened the scoring for the home side in the 57th minute rising high to head in from a well-delivered Baba Apiiga corner.

However, Berekum Chelsea responded almost instantly, with Stephen Amankona expertly controlling a cross from a free-kick before firing home from inside the box to level the game two minutes later.

The Lions began the match on the front foot, with Ezekiel Alladoh heading just wide from a Salman Faris cross early in the game. Moments later, Baba Apiiga’s curling corner nearly resulted in a goal, but the visitors defended resolutely.

Despite the home side’s dominance on the flanks, Berekum Chelsea had the best chance of the first half. Mezack Afriyie found himself one-on-one with Accra Lions’ goalkeeper, David Afful, who made a brilliant save to keep the scoreline level going into halftime.

After the interval, Accra Lions intensified their attack, and their pressure paid off when Mohammed’s header gave them the lead. But the celebration was shortlived as Amankona equalised just two minutes later, silencing the home fans.

In the dying moments, Accra Lions kept pushing for a winner, with Lawrence Setordjie and Remember Boateng sending in dangerous crosses but the visitors' defence stood firm to earn a well-deserved point.
