GPL Week 12: Karela United shock Dreams FC at home
An ambitious southern adventure by Tamale-based Karela United ended in a shocking 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers, Dreams FC, at the Tuba Astro Turf Park on Sunday, November 24.
Hard-running Najib Fuseini Ibrahim masterminded the coup de grace after 83 minutes when he capitalised on a Collins Boah blunder to fire home a powerful grounder beyond goalkeeper Gidios Aseako.

Before that, both sides had fought gallantly in the end-to-end thrilling encounter to deserve at least a point.
However, Coach Jimmy Cobblah's men succeeded in forcing that first home defeat down the throat of Dreams FC to confirm their determination to vacate the bottom spot.
Even more painful was the fact that the homesters had dominated the second half, which saw them missing some glorious chances, with skipper Joseph Esso, Musibau Aziz, Derrick Atta Agyei and Boah in the thick of affairs.
In the heat of Dreams FC's incessant attacks, goalkeeper Nasiru Abdul Karim and his defence stood tall.
No wonder Karela United left-back, Mohammed Abubakar, emerged as the NASCO Player of the Match at the end of the game watched by Black Satellites Coach, Desmond Ofei.
