Greater Accra Volleyball League thrills

After interesting two weeks of spiking and blocking, the Greater Accra Volleyball League continues this weekend at all league centres with tough battles lined-up.

At the La Presbyterian Church premises, LA-Dadekotopon men and women’s volleyball teams will clash with the Army at 1:00p.m., Holy Fingers play Immanuel Presby at the Military Academy and Training School at 2.30 p.m., while Town Council Line (TCL) will play Prisons male and female teams at the Town Council Park at 1.00pm.

Fire Service will trek to Ashaiman to play as guests of White Dove in male and female games at 1.00p.m.

The volleyball courts of the University of Ghana, Legon, will be the centre of attraction as University of Ghana Warriors clash with the Ghana Immigration Service at 2.30p.m., while Nungua Youth Spikers host Air Force at the Nungua Town Park.

Meanwhile, the Technical Director of the Ghana Volleyball Association (GAVA), Justice Adjoins, has asked officials handling the matches to apply International Federation of Volleyball (FIVB) rules and regulations in order to raise the standard of the league.
