Hearts face Police threat in tomorrow’s Confed Cup match
After their refreshing victory over Aduana Stars last Wednesday, Accra Hearts of Oak travel to the 6,000-capacity Stade Cotonou II in Porto Novo, Benin to take on AS Police in the second-leg of their preliminary round CAF Confederation Cup tomorrow.
Veteran coach Herbert Addo's side will be hoping to ride on their 1-0 advantage from the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium two weeks ago to progress in africa’s second-tier inter-club competition.

Ahead of the tie, Coach Addo has hinted of an attacking philosophy which he hopes will secure a comfortable progression for his side into the 1/16th stage, despite the threat posed by Police side who will seek to exploit their home advantage.
"My plan for playing continental teams away from home is to attack, attack and attack. It is always the best strategy for me because when you go attacking, your opponents have no opportunities to attack but defend," Coach Addo told cafonline.com.
On Hearts narrow advantage, he said ideally, it would have been good to travel with an assurance of more goals, he remained hopeful of a positive outcome in the return leg clash.
After the draw in Cairo two months ago, the Phobians were expected to brush aside AS Police with ease but a turbulent domestic campaign which has seen them win just three of their nine league games, coupled with a slim first leg advantage, will leave many of their fans feeling nervous when they come up against the Beninois league leaders.
For Confederation Cup debutants, AS Police, they will have to improve upon the lacklustre attacking forays they exhibited in the first leg clash in Accra if they remain hopeful of overturning the deficit to progress at the expense of the 2004 Confederation Cup winners.
AS Police will also take solace from their current form in the Beninois league in which they are unbeaten in a six-match run (they have three wins and three draws and are yet to concede a goal) and sit on top of the league log.
