Hearts have edge over Danbort

Resurgent Accra Hearts of Oak will seek to replicate their league form in the MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash against Danbort FC at the Accra Stadium tomorrow.

The Phobians have chalked up some successes recently with victories over Berekum Chelsea and Tema Youth in Accra with key players such as Thomas Abbey, Patrick Razak, Kwame Kizito and Samudeen Ibrahim who have hit top form.

Against Division One League side, Danbort, much would be expected from the Rainbow Club in this local derby.

Hearts are chasing their eleventh FA Cup title, and Coach Frank Nuttal is expected to parade his best squad to ensure a convincing victory.

However, the Nungua-based Danbort will be no pushovers after coming this far, hence the need for Hearts not to underrate their opponents.

The rates for the match are GHC10 and GHC20, and fans can purchase tickets at the gates with their MTN Mobile Money.

In Wa, All Stars will carry a bloated ego into their match against Berekum Chelsea, having thrashed them 3-0 in a Week 18 Premier League fixture at the same venue a few weeks back.

All Stars will seek to establish their dominance over their opponents in front of the home fans as players Paul De Vires, Sadiq Alhassan, Samuel Atta-Mensah and Kofi Yeboah are expected to propel them into the semi-finals.

The case may not be different at the Tarkwa T & A Park where Medeama welcome former premiership side Amidaus Professionals in another dicey duel.

Coach Evans Adotey’s charges have a slight edge over the Tema-based club following a string of better-than-average performances in the premiership.

But Amidaus could have a secret weapon in George Lamptey, a premiership veteran, who plotted the exit of WAFA.

Still recuperating from their tragic accident a fortnight ago, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been excused from their game against Nea Salamina at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
