Trustees, the defending champions, already knew their fate heading into the tie after taking an unassailable five-point lead ahead of their closest rivals, Police, and raced into a 3-0 lead by the close of the first half.

Skipper Matthew Damalie opened the scoring in the fourth minute before the impressive Johnny Botsio and Ernest Opoku scored in the 22nd and 28th minutes to leave GRA reeling before the break.

After recess, GRA returned the better side and grabbed two consolation goals in the 38th and 56th minutes through Assah-Anim Kwasi and Anthony Aikins.

Trustees finished with 26 points from 10 games while Police finished second with 21 points after beating bottom club Reformers 2-0 while GRA, Exchequers and Goldensticks followed in that order.

Trustees coach, Edmund Ayertey, after the game said he was already ruing the end of the season because he was set to lose two of his best players to a rival team.

He said, "We have to start rebuilding again because we will lose our captain, Matthew Damalie, and vice captain Ernest Opoku to GRA.
"However, we are up for the challenge and we will retain this title next season," Mr Ayertey assured.

Real Ambassadors clinched the youth division title with 27 points after thrashing Young Financiers 5-1, while Ark Boys and Legonites finished second and third respectively.
