I’m ready to assist Dramani at Hearts — Coach Hanson

Golden Kick FC head coach Fiifi Parker Hanson has expressed his openness to joining Hearts of Oak as an assistant to newly-appointed head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, following his side’s impressive run to the final of the MTN FA Cup.

Despite his side’s narrow 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in the final, Coach Hanson’s tactical acumen has earned him widespread praise. 

In an interview with Akoma FM, the 43-year-old coach stated that he would gladly accept the opportunity to work under Didi Dramani, provided the offer aligns with his principles and career goals.

"I've known Didi Dramani for a long time; we worked together at Right to Dream Academy, so working under him at Hearts of Oak won't be a difficult task. In fact, it will help my career," Hanson said.

Hearts of Oak recently appointed the Black Stars assistant coach, Didi Dramani, on a two-year contract to take charge of the team following the departure of Coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who led the Phobians to a fourth-place finish in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Coach Hanson acknowledged the prestige of the Hearts of Oak brand but emphasised the importance of a good working environment and aligned values in any future collaboration.

“Hearts of Oak is a big team, but it has its own style of operation. If they come to seek my services, I will gladly join them — only if the negotiations between us go well,” he stated.

“I will evaluate their method of doing things to see if it suits mine, because I will not force myself into a role if the working atmosphere is not pleasant for me.”

While making clear his admiration for the club, Hanson was also firm on his stance that he wouldn’t compromise on his professional ethics for any appointment.

“However, that doesn't mean I will go to Hearts if my ethics don't align with theirs. If they do, there won't be any issues. I welcome any club that wants to collaborate with me,” he concluded.
