Interplast donates US$10,000 to Rackets

In a bid to motivate the national tennis team, the Golden Rackets, at the ongoing Davies Cup in Cairo, Egypt, Interplast Ghana Limited last Thursday donated US$10,000 to the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF).

The Golden Rackets are hoping to qualify from Africa Zone Three to the more lucrative Euro-Africa zone but faced some financial difficulties in their preparations.

While presenting the cheque to the GTF, the General Manager of Interplast, Sivnesh Kumar, pledged his outfit's commitment to the development of youthful talents in the country.

"It has always been our pleasure to help develop talents among the youth and this is just one of them," he said.

The Sponsorship Committee Chairman of the GTF, Kobby Brew, who received the cheque, thanked Interplast for the gesture, which he said would motivate the team to come back with laurels.
