The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has ordered a temporary ban on the Kpando park, the home venue of Heart of Lions with immediate effect.

It follows the conduct of their supporters who threw objects at the Officials during their First Capital Plus Premier League game against Bechem United.

The said incident led to injuries to assistant referee James Osarfo.

The decision was taken in accordance with Article 15(2) of the GFA General Regulations, which stipulates that “the GFA may order the closure of any league centre where the safety of clubs, match officials or spectators cannot be guaranteed.”

A statement issued yesterday stated that the Premier League Board would determine the venue for the Club’s subsequent matches in accordance with the provisions of Article 15(3) of the GFA General Regulations.

Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee has been charged to hear the case in accordance with the regulations of the association.
