He argued that, to ensure transparency the public must know how much all  the 23 players, officials and the management committee would earn during the tournament.

He also suggested that the 50 places that  FIFA allots to each country should be distributed to include referees, old players and the media aside the 23 players, seven technical men and the 10 management members.

The chairman of Neoplan Stars has also called on the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the FA to as a matter of urgency invoke article 70 of the Ghana Football Association( GFA) statute which deals with the Public Interest Committee (PIC).

Abbey Pobee said the committee which was made up of highly experienced individuals such as Lawyer Thadeus  Sorry,  Ernest Thompson and Mr. Alloysius Dankabe representing GFA and Abedi Ayew Pele and Mr. Oteng Arthur representing the government could be made to work efficiently than it was performing at the moment.

‘The question is why has the GFA since 2005 refused to allow the PIC to work?,  he asked adding  that in his view they could help safeguard the public purse.

‘I will also like to suggest that at most $7million should be spent on our players and officials including the 10 management committee members as appearance fee, per diem etc’, to save Ghana some money, he stated.
