Medeama dare Sundowns Sat

Ghana’s continental hopeful Medeama SC will travel to South Africa to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the first-leg of their CAF Confederation Cup play-off at the Lucas 'Masterpieces' Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday.

The Tarkwa-based side qualified to this stage after beating Al Ahly Shendy of The Sudan by two goals to nil on aggregate in the previous round.

Sundowns had a second chance after being ousted from the CAF Champions League by AS Vita Club of the Democratic Republic of Congo on technical grounds.

Medeama will be hoping for qualify for the money zone this time round after falling at the same stage in their debut two years ago.

The Ghanaians will play Sundowns in the return leg on Sunday, May 18 at the Essipon Stadium in Sekondi.
