National Karate Championship March 21

Ahead of the 2015 All Africa Games slated for September in Brazaville, Congo, the Ghana Karate-do Association is organising a competition to select talents to represent the country at the games.

Dubbed the National Karate Championship, the event, expected to attract over 200 athletes across the country, will be held on March 21, 2015 at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Accra Stadium from 7:00a.m to 7:00p.m. 

The best athletes  will be selected during the championship and  groomed further  to win medals for the country in the continent’s largest sporting fiesta.

The Secretary General of the Association, Patrick Anyidoho Cofie, told the Daily Graphic that the association  hopes to win its largest haul of laurels at this year’s event. 

“We will begin with our training as early as the second week in April,” he said and appealed to corporate institutions  to support the team.
