Navarette records 5th consecutive stoppage since going the distance with Dogboe
Hard-hitting Emanuel Navarette stopped Jeo Santisima in the 11th round to retain his WBO junior featherweight title Sunday dawn in Las Vegas.
Fighting on the much-publicised Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury undercard, the Mexican 31-1, 27 KOs) successfully defended his WBO 122-pound championship for the fifth time against Santisima (19-3, 16 KOs), the WBO’s fourth-ranked challenger for his title. In the process, he also snapped the 17-fight winning streak of Santisima.

Navarette did not record a knockdown, but referee Russell Mora decided that Santisima shouldn’t continue after absorbing many punches.
The last boxer to travel the distance with Navarette was Ghana's Isaac Dogboe who entered that bout as the WBO Super Bantamweight champion.
Dogboe lost the strap after suffering 12 rounds of punishment against Vaquero who won a unanimous decision verdict against the Ghanaian.

Their rematch barely six months later began Navarrete's current run of stoppages. He was also on a run of eight stoppages before fighting Dogboe for the first time.
