Oly CEO targets Top 4 finish
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra Great Olympics, Mr Oloboi Commodore, says the club have set a target to finish among the Top 4 clubs at the end of the ongoing Premier League season, insisting they are not in the competition just to survive relegation.
Despite a poor start to their campaign, coupled with the resignation of two coaches — Isaac Nii Armah resigned just before the 2019/20 Premier League season got underway and his successor, Prince George Koffie, took a similar route after their seventh week home loss to West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) — the
Olympics boss remains confident that the team would improve as the competition progresses.

“As of now, we have young and talented players who have been improving on their performances on the field each week, and considering how we are playing, we are likely to be among the Top 4 clubs at the end of the league or firmly perch at the middle of the table,” he told the Daily Graphic.
Describing their home defeat to WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium as the most shocking loss in the league so far, Mr Commodore explained that his players performed very creditably and should have won the match but surprisingly lost to their more youthful opponents in a dramatic fashion.
“The defeat was very shocking but we pulled ourselves up and went to Kumasi to claim the maximum points from King Faisal to prove that Olympics have returned to the Premier League with a big bang and to stay,” he stated.
Last Sunday Olympics lost 1-2 to Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Accra Stadium and now occupy the 13th position on the league log.
