Opoku plans to transform Celebrity
Captain of the Celebrity Golf Course, Francis Akwasi Opoku, has stated his vision to transform the golf course into a world class course before his tenure expires next year.
He stated that although it would be difficult and would require a huge capital investment, he was not deterred because he had a very dedicated committee who are willing to ensure they achieve the dream.

This year, he said the club would be very busy with a number of programmes outlined which included Leadership for Conservation in Africa (LCA) Championship this weekend, a charity event towards raising funds to protect the Shai Hills.
Others include the Ghana Corporate event, the South Africa day event, the Republic day event, the Nigeria Independent day event, Surfline Competition and the First Atlantic Bank Celebrity Open which would be the major event of the year.
Opoku also won the Longest Drive prize, while Wang Shu bagged a net of 69 to pick the second prize beating Zha Liang Hua on the count back.
