Osei Bonsu grateful after fulfilling dream move to Bibiani Gold Stars

Newly-signed Bibiani Gold Stars goalkeeper, Kwadwo Osei Bonsu, says joining the Ghana Premier League champions is a dream come true and not a decision based on the club's recent triumph.

The former WAFA shot-stopper revealed that his affection for the Bibiani-based side had long been established, and that was what informed his move, despite previous interest from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

“In the past, Kotoko and Hearts showed interest, but nothing concrete happened. I knew the right time would come for me to join a top-tier side,” he said in an interview with the club’s media.

Bonsu says football is a career filled with ups and downs, and players must remain focused in order to succeed.

“The game has its challenges, but once you’ve chosen football as your path, you must stay committed,” he added.

The talented goalkeeper expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to play for Bibiani Gold Stars, noting that receiving a call from such a high-profile club was a moment of pride.

“I’m feeling very happy and grateful. It’s not easy to receive an unexpected call from a club like Bibiani Gold Stars showing interest in your services. I feel lucky and truly thankful for this opportunity,” he stated.

Bonsu also described himself as a modern goalkeeper who enjoyed playing with his feet, citing the veteran Bayern Munich and Germany star Manuel Neuer as his role model.
