Sam Yeboah cautions Hearts fans

Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Samuel Yeboah, says it's too early to conclude that his side would win this year’s premier league but expressed the hope that the team can maintain their recent form to the end of the first half of the season.

The 29-year-old broke his goal scoring drought when he scored the only goal during the Phobians encounter witht Berekum Chelsea last Sunday, a victory that moved them to the top of the league ahead of Wa All Stars who lost 1-3 to Techiman City.

The former Heart of Lions striker urged the fans to be patient with Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi to ensure that their focus was not derailed at this crucial moment.

"I mostly listen to the fans on radio and I keep hearing them say the title has already being won.

Such comments really bring so much pressure on the bench and the players and I think it's too early to conclude we will win the title despite our current position at the top."

“Of course if we can maintain our current form until the second half of the season, then we have a major advantage to clinch the title.

“But for now, all we need is support and patience from the fans," he stated.

Yeboah, however, conceded that their away victory over Chelsea had brought the back smiles on the faces of the players, particularly coming after their shock 0-1 defeat to arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko .
