Over 100 Junior High School learners benefited from two hours of intensive tutorials on self-awareness and self-defence.

Candace Academy boss, Hannah Humphrey expressed satisfaction with the event and the commitment of staff and students of Flobar School. She hoped for even more enthralling encounters in the nine set schools to subsequently also benefit from Season 3.

“We took them on an important journey of self-awareness, self-defence, ant-bullying, online safety and they have been sensitised to stay safe physically and even online. We also gave them pratical exercises so that if they are in any danger, they can protect themselves,” she said.

“We were able to come here and offer this education today because of the support of a few people and certain brands. We hope more well-meaning brands that have the safety of children at heart, will come on board to support us too."
