Tuba astro turf serving Ghana football — MP
THE constituents of the Bortianor Nglleshie Amanfro appear to be reaping the full benefit of the newly constructed Astroturf.
According to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Sylvester Tetteh, the facility had contributed immensely towards unearthing talents, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The modern Astroturf, cited in Tuba, a Moslem community near Kokrobite, is one of the major social intervention programmes executed by the MP.
The 5000-seater facility has been adopted by Premiership side Dreams FC as their home ground and indications are that Great Olympics are the next in line to adopt the facility.
The FIFA standard Astroturf, which houses two changing rooms (Home and Away), stands, floodlights, and VVIP stands since its construction has served many teams in and around the community.
The MP said in an interview "The Astroturf is one of the many social intervention programmes my team and I have executed and l must admit, it is serving the intended purpose of nurturing sporting talents and serving as a recreational centre for the community to encourage healthy lifestyle.
"We have been able to touch on our road network; a major challenge that confronts the community, especially during rainy seasons. You will bear with me that Kokrobite has a huge tourism potential taking into account the many beaches dotted along the coast. The reconstruction of the road, especially the Old Barrier to Kokrobite stretch, will boost tourism in the area," he said.
