In all, 25 young tennis players (boys and girls) aged between 10 and 16 will do battle for slots at the next stage of the competition.

The boys Under-10 event will see Elijah Okine taking on Kwaku Tenkorang, while Julius Quaye faces Donene Anku.

Charles Stevens will also lock horns with Andre Niikoi as Ningo Anku tackles Divine Totimeh in the same category.

In the boys Under-14 division, Richard Okine will face Said Mamudu, while Bright Nortey seeks to settle scores with Thomas Boakye Asare.

After winning all three games in the round-robin stage, Akosua Koranteng will come face to face with Zoe Quartey, who also recorded three wins in the girls Under-10 category.

At the venue last Wednesday, Dr Andre Oddoye, first son of G.T. Oddoye, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the players after the round-robin matches, as well as the general organisation of the competition.

"We hope to organise this annually to give these young ones the opportunity to showcase their talent and probably get the next tennis star in Ghana."
