Berock founder picks another entrepreneurs honours
The executive chairman of Berock Ventures, a leading indigenous construction company, Rockson Dogbegah, has for the third time been adjudged the Outstanding Entrepreneur in Building and Construction category at the Ghana Entrepreneurs Awards.

The awards, organised by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, honours the best entrepreneurs in the Ghanaian business community, by showcasing the business leaders and contemporary entrepreneurial spirit and also inspiring other Ghanaians to undertake the entrepreneurship path of success.
Berock Ventures in perspective
Mr Dogbegah was recognised for founding and steering a first class indigenous construction company which employs over 280 built environment professionals and over 1,000 construction trade workers.
He has led Berock Ventures Ltd to execute over 60 building and civil engineering contract works, and over 50 water supply projects for public sector clients, private institutions and international clients such as the European Union, the French Agency for Development (AFD), the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) and the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) over the past two decades.
Support for local industry
Mr Dogbegah, who is a strong advocate for a better regulated construction industry as well as support for indigenous players, said he was motivated by the awards to keep driving for excellence.
He commended the government for giving indigenous construction companies such as Berock Ventures the opportunity to prove its worth and urged that the public procurement system be seen as a tool to grow indigenous entrepreneurs.
He, therefore, urged the government to do more to enable indigenous companies to execute contracts.
The executive chairman of Berock dedicated the awards to the staff of the company, explaining that their high level of professionalism was a major reason behind the success of the company.
