The CEO of Caveman Watches, Anthony Dzamefe, has urged creatives to think beyond borders and focus on building world-class brands.

Speaking at the Leaders Without Borders International Economic Development & Investment Business Summit in the UK, where he was honoured as one of the Top 100 Influential Global Voices 2025, Dzamefe emphasised the potential of African entrepreneurs to make a global impact.

“We have everything it takes to create world-class brands right here in Africa,” he stated after receiving his award at the Palace of Westminster, House of Lords.

Dzamefe, who established Ghana’s first high-end watch brand, highlighted the importance of African entrepreneurs telling their own stories through their craft.

“Luxury is not defined by geography. It is defined by excellence, and we have that in abundance,” he added.

Caveman Watches has gained international recognition for its ability to integrate African history and heritage into its designs. The brand’s unique storytelling approach has attracted global attention, with celebrities and high-profile individuals endorsing its timepieces.

Reflecting on his journey from a self-taught watchmaker to a globally recognised entrepreneur, Dzamefe encouraged creatives to take bold steps and embrace global opportunities.

“We need to move past limitations and see ourselves as global players. The world is ready for African innovation,” he stated.
