This challenge aims to unearth the artistic and creative talents of primary 6 students while offering them a medium to express themselves and build their interest in agriculture.

The selected students were from Adinkrom, Oforikrom, and Siawkrom D/A Primary Schools within the catchment area of Aperade, where Eastfield Farms is located in the Eastern region of Ghana. Students were provided with drawing materials, including sheets, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and coloring items. Each school was given about an hour for this exercise, after which the drawings were collected to be reviewed by a committee comprising teachers and other members and partners of Eastfield Foundation. The best three drawings from each school will be selected, and the winners will be invited to attend the launch of the Orange Growers Association (OGA)'s head office set for August 2024. Each winner’s drawing will be exhibited on the main office walls.

President of Eastfield Foundation, Akua Botwe, lauded the creative abilities of the students and inspired them to take advantage of the challenge to learn more about orange farming. She thanked their teachers and heads for their assistance and assured them of the foundation’s commitment to unearthing the creative talents of students. She further encouraged teachers and parents to continue to do their best to train students they can all be proud of.

The Vice President of Orange Growers Association (OGA), a major partner of Eastfield Foundation, Naana Asiamah-Adjei, engaged and encouraged the students during the event. On behalf of the Orange Growers Association (OGA), she supplied all participating students and their supervising teachers with fresh oranges from Eastfield Farms for their vitality.

Also present to support Eastfield Foundation were four students from the University of Ghent in Belgium: Mila Liu, Frances Aelbrecht, Stijn Van Oudenhove, and Eline De Loore. The four passionate volunteers with Humasol have been working in Akim Oda and its environs, making sustainable energy available to people in the area. They expressed joy at being able to be part of this fulfilling exercise and pledged to share the work of the foundation with friends, family, and other students back home.

Since 2020, Eastfield Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of West Africa's biggest orange orchard, Eastfield Farms, and the Orange Growers Association (OGA), has been phenomenal in delivering on its mandate, especially to schools and health facilities within its catchment area. The foundation has also been instrumental in the Green Ghana Day initiative through the provision, planting, and nurturing of orange seedlings across selected schools and health facilities.

Eastfield Foundation appeals to corporate Ghana and international bodies for funding support to provide the needed resources and interventions to enable them to continuously impact the community and Ghana as a whole.
