Ghana Beverage Awards 2024 nominations open
Global Media Alliance, organisers of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA), has officially announced the opening of nominations for the 2024 edition.
The launch event, held on January 20, 2025 in Accra, marked the beginning of this year’s awards activities, which are themed “Inspiring Excellence in Ghana’s Beverage Industry.”
The Ghana Beverage Awards aim to recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions by players in the beverage industry, both local and international. Nominations are open to the general public and beverage producers from January 20 to February 28, 2025.
In an effort to expand the scope of the awards, two new categories, Bar of the Year and Bartender of the Year, have been introduced, highlighting the organisers’ commitment to acknowledging excellence throughout the beverage value chain.
Emma Wenani, Chief Director at Global Media Alliance, praised the beverage industry’s crucial role in Ghana’s economic growth. “For many years, our beverage industry has played a significant role in contributing to the overall development of the Ghanaian economy. It is thus imperative that we recognise and reward the hard work in the industry through avenues such as the Ghana Beverage Awards,” she said. She encouraged active participation in the nomination process, calling on the public and industry players to join in celebrating the achievements within the sector.
In the lead-up to the awards ceremony, the organisers will host the Bartenders Masterclass and the Beverage Industry Forum to engage stakeholders and stimulate discussions about the growth and innovation in the beverage industry. The Bartenders Masterclass will focus on equipping experienced bartenders with advanced skills and inspiring new talent, while the Beverage Industry Forum will provide a platform for knowledge sharing and insight into industry trends.
